Historical elements:
This house was built in the 1860's by James S. Ruiter for his
son-in-law. James Ruiter was one of the sons of Jacob Ruiter,
the first settler here. When this house was built, it stood on
the north side of Main Street near the present site of the shopping

Street. In 1907, William S. Cotton bought this house and moved
it on its present location. In the 1930's, it was occupied by

we find there the restaurant La Fine Gueule.
