Historical elements:
The first Ottawa Hotel was destroyed by a fire in 1927. It was
rebuilt on the same site by P. E. Hauver and it became known as
the New Ottawa Hotel. In the fifties, it was called the Hotel
Maurice. Today, it is a seniors residence called Manoir Cowan.
