Ernest Racicot, the first French-speaking lawyer to settle in Sweetsburg and one of the owners of this house, was a freemason and

he remained atheist until his death notwithstanding that his brother was a catholic bishop who tried unsuccessfully to convert him. Now we find in this beautiful house the Bed & Breakfast Manoir Sweetsburg.
