Cowansville: A Lively Town During the Summer Months

Cowansville is a city in south-central Quebec, Canada, found on Lac Davignon 20 kilometers (12 mi) north of the U.S. border. It is the place of Brome-Missisquoi, a local county district. The population as of the Canada 2011 Poll was 12,489.

Besides Davignon Lake, in the town center, the Sweetsburg historical area gives Cowansville many appeals. Its follower characteristics with its beautiful constructions and grand Victorian-style homes all along Main Street and du Sud Street attest to its past. The Maison Bruck, The Mural trip “Les belles disparues,” many establishments and the Café de village La mie bretonne, an artisanal patisserie, offer Cowansville residents and visitors a friendly habitat for a ballad or for solely enjoying the bit.

For an intimate evening, Sur la scène Davignon offers many musicians from the Quebec theatre scene. Their summertime concerts introduce several outdoor concerts. The west area of the town provides a more public aspect with some high-volume markets.

Rustik Tours encourages visitors to explore the region into its guided thematic journeys.

The city was founded in 1991 with a logo of the history of Cowansville and area; genealogy. The physical description of most residents of the town depicts Archives and Bruck House.

The history of the society about local history and genealogy include 6,000 titles; 26,000 References; 12 records (1851-1936); an indication of 15,000 names (900 pages) from the magazine Entre-Nous (1944-53), including images, births, marriages, and losses for employees and their progenitors, in French and English; data from 15 tombs (5 in Cowansville, ten elsewhere).

The language of this city’s residents comprises English and French-speaking people.

A petite French-speaking inhabitant of Cowansville is located in the territory of Quebec, in eastern Canada. It is the most populated section of the province, near the St.Laurence River, near the border separating the U.S. and Canada.
